The Hunterian Zoology Collections have provided various routes to investigate lives lived, things being done, and what is left behind. The starting point for each work is something of personal importance, leading to an investigation of entwined relationships between animal and humans. These relationships are sharply focused by this era of extinction, caused as it is by humans. “BioGeoGraphies” is an artists' project which draws on activities and concerns within geography and biology. It is variant of biography, making tangential environmental histories that reflect, obliquely, on how natural history presents its subjects and on the contemporary value of these collections. Artworks crystallize from seeking different perspectives and ways of knowing.
